ASL Fore All 2024

ASL Friends hosted its first golf outing, ASL Fore ALL June 9, 2024 at Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club in Naples, Florida. Special thanks to the support of our Board of Directors and family who traveled great distances to launch this inaugural event. The professionals at Hammock Bay and GolfStatus gave our organizers confidence as they patiently guided every step.

Dr. Paul Nussbaum set the stage by giving a moving speech to golfers prior to the event as to why their participation was so important:

When any little baby cannot hear, they can’t develop language. If they can’t develop language, their brain will not develop. They will essentially graduate high school at the fourth-grade reading level and fall behind in all aspects of society.

Between raindrops and rainbows the energy of volunteers and golfers was electric. We are grateful to our many sponsors and all participants. ASL Fore ALL exceeded expectations in many ways preparing the path for future events, raising awareness, and raising funds for the upcoming “Mister Rogers’ ASL Friends” language video series for deaf children.
